From the classroom to career, from one generation to the next - AluMentor is how we rise together
AluMentor is a mentorship initiative by The Tiriji Foundation, powered by the alumni of International Peace Initiatives (IPI)—many of whom are former beneficiaries of the organization. These alumni, having walked the path from challenge to opportunity, are now giving back by guiding the next generation of learners and leaders.
AluMentor supports both university students and younger learners in primary and secondary school through tailored mentorship, career guidance, and personal development. The program bridges the gap between education and the real world, with a strong focus on job search strategies, professional networking, personal branding, skill-building, and exploring global opportunities.
Through workshops, one-on-one mentoring, and a supportive alumni network, AluMentor helps students and young people build confidence, find purpose, and prepare for successful futures—whether in school, at work, or in life.
AluMentor empowers young people from primary school to university through alumni-led mentorship that builds confidence, nurtures purpose, and prepares them for lifelong success.
To create a thriving community where every young person is guided, inspired, and equipped to reach their full potential—locally and globally.
The Job Search Strategies for Students workshop equipped ICSP university students with practical skills to navigate the evolving job market. It focused on enhancing employability, leveraging digital job platforms, and exploring global career opportunities. With around 40 participants in this first session, there was strong engagement and a clear demand for more in-depth discussions. Many attendees requested additional sessions to dive deeper into key topics and further support their career development. As the next step, we plan to organize follow-up sessions to address these needs and continue guiding students on their career journeys.
